Posting bail here
Call (800) 351-8911 with the person's name, the jail, the charge and the bail amount if it is listed. We confirm the booking, take the cosigner's application, and post the bond with the jail. The jail then processes the release, and timing depends on how busy it is that day.
Prefer to start on paper? Apply for bail online and an agent will call you back. If the bail feels out of reach, ask about Bail Today, Pay Later® monthly payments and the 20% discount for veterans and for people with a private attorney.
Find the person
Search the LASD Inmate Information Center with their full legal name and date of birth. Write down the booking number. You will need it for bail, visits, mail and money. New bookings can take a few hours to show up online. Our inmate lookup guide has tips when a search comes up empty.
Visiting
