Her story
In 1998 Jane Un was a real estate developer. She was arrested for a crime she did not commit, and her bail was set at $2 million. Later she spent nine more days in jail because she checked in five minutes late, and was charged $75,000 to post bail again.
She served 20 months in state prison before the Fourth District Court of Appeal reversed her eight year sentence. She was released on April 4, 2001.
“I believe that people should be able to afford bail because it is their right.”
In 2004 she started Bail Today, Pay Later®, a way for working families to pay a bail premium in monthly amounts they can afford. Her reason is simple. She does not want you or your loved one to have to learn about the bail system the way she did.

- If your loved one is a mother who has been in jail for more than a week, Jane will take her to a spa to clean up and relax before she is reunited with her family.
- Veterans, and families who have retained a private attorney, get 20% off the premium.

What clients have written
Thank you for doing what nobody else could do. Like you, I was charged with a crime I did not commit. But the charge was very serious and a Judge set a bail amount so high that coming up with the bail money was impossible. Just as bad, I could not find a single bail bond company to help me. As you know, Jane, I sat in jail for 6 months before we found you. You did what nobody else could our would do. Then, you were waiting for me at the jail when I was released with a fresh change of clothes and something to eat. That first non-jail food was the best meal of my life. Thank you Jane. I had given up hope. You gave me my life back.
My family owes you debt of gratitude for the time and trouble you went to to reach out to Eric. We know you are a very busy person and yet you made time. If not for your visit at the 11th hour Eric would not have made the decision to take a deal. Your cleverness opened up his eyes to the terribly bad things that could have happened. We will always have you in our thoughts and prayers.
Jane, just a quick note to thank you for all you did for Enrique. You were the only one who seemed to care about him as a person. You are the only one who wanted to hear his side of the story. That you actually came to Court when he was arraigned gave us so much more strength and comfort to see this thing through.
